Our Vision
To eradicate educational inequality and promote workforce success.
Our Motto
Our Commitment to Reform
Highlands Community Charter & Technical Schools is actively implementing reforms to strengthen accountability, improve operations, and better serve our students.
We are working closely with our authorizer, Twin Rivers Unified School District, and welcome oversight as part of rebuilding confidence and ensuring continued progress. The work underway reflects our commitment to doing things the right way—openly, responsibly, and with students at the center.

Latest News At Highlands
When I think of our campuses, I don’t picture buildings. I picture people: a mother who works a double shift and still shows up for evening class; a young man translating for his parents while trying to keep up with his own assignments; a teacher who keeps granola bars in a desk because attendance sometimes starts with a meal. This is why Highlands exists—to be a steady place where adult learners, newcomers, and returning students move toward a diploma and a better job without having to hide who they are or what they’ve lived through.
